Individuals intending to vote by mail (absentee) must deliver their ballot requests to the Elections Office by Wednesday, October 29. According to the official election schedule from the Secretary of State's website, October 29 is the "last day for an application for a mail-in absentee ballot to be received by the County Clerk." Ballot requests must be received no "later than 5:00 p.m. for the General Election (November 4)." If you have not submitted your absentee ballot request and you intend to do so, you should plan to visit the Kootenai Elections Office at 1808 N 3rd Street before the end of day tomorrow. You can complete the absentee ballot request for a mail in ballot (to be sent to you) or you can vote early (same-day).
