Planned Home for Veterans
This week's Democratic Club features Len Crosby, Vice President of Community 1st Bank. Len will speak about the efforts to build a regional Veterans' Home in Post Falls. Please join us this Friday, May 6. The meeting will take place at the Iron Horse Bar and Grill, at 407 E Sherman Ave in Coeur d'Alene at 12:00 PM. Club meetings take place each Friday.
Mr. Crosby holds an MBA in Finance and a Master of Science in Educational Administration. He has done post graduate work in real estate finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He has more than 45 years of experience in banking and commercial real estate finance, having served in corporate positions with Sterling Bank, AMRESCO, Inc., Continental Bank, 1st Nationwide Bank and Westinghouse. As Senior Vice President of National Partnership Investment Corporation, Mr. Crosby oversaw the acquisition and development of more than 12,000 apartment units. He currently serves as Vice President of Community 1st Bank, and is Managing Partner of Financial and Real Estate Consulting, LLC.
Len serves as a member of the Idaho Bond Bank Authority, of the State of Idaho, and was appointed by Gov. Otter to the Idaho Credit Rating Enhancement Committee, which advises the Governor and Legislature on improving the State’s credit rating. He is also a trustee of the Kootenai Bridge Academy, and a member of the Boards of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club, the Kootenai Electric Trust, the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce and several other community organizations. Len also served as the Chairman of Heritage Health for several years.
He is active in several local Veterans organizations including the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Military Officers Association. His military service included two tours in Vietnam as a Platoon Leader with the 4th Infantry Division and an Infantry Company Commander with the 101st Airborne Division.
