Getting to Know the Candidates
This month's Progressive Diners session will feature an information session about our two main national candidates, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. If the candidates themselves don't show, Kristy Johnson and Tim Leadingham will fill in.
The goal is to learn the positions of these two candidates on important issues facing the country. This will prepare us for the Kootenai County Democratic Caucus March 22 when we have to decide between them. There will be no attacks or "Gotcha" stuff; that will be left for other venues. Rather it will be a fun time with friends.
This hopefully will be a compare and contrast between the two candidates, not a contest between the speakers at the meeting nor a test of their ability to think on their feet.
To facilitate this discussion, please generate questions for the candidates (Bernie and Hillary). The questions can be directed toward both candidates or only one. Send them to me and I will send them to Tim and Kristy so they can prepare. However, if you submit a question, I would like you to ask it on Wednesday. There will also be a time for questions that have not been pre-submitted.
The meeting takes place at Seasons of Coeur d'Alene at 6:30 p.m.
Space is limited and available on a first come first-serve basis based on the time of your reservation. Please email Steve Moss with your RSVP at email@example.com to reserve a place at the table. Please arrive by 6:15 p.m. to check in, order dinner and get settled.
