The Transgender Day of Remembrance was set aside to memorialize those who have been murdered due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.
Over the last decade, more than one person per month has died in the U.S. due to transgender-based hate or prejudice, regardless of any other factors in their lives. This trend shows no sign of abating.
We come together to remember all who have lost their lives to anti-transgender violence and to commit ourselves to making our community a safer place for all of us.
Please join us to remember the victims, hear stories of hope and, share in our conviction to create a safer and inclusive community for all. After the program, please stay for soup and socializing.
