Deciding to run for political office required an evaluation of what I could offer the ticket and ultimately the Legislature. My professional experience is in healthcare, financial and scientific research environments spanning from small business to Fortune 500 companies and University settings. Being a small business owner I know the challenges of skyrocketing insurance premiums and the cost of trying to insure your employees.
In my industry, healthcare, it is all too common for people who have insurance to be underinsured and an accident away from financial disaster because their benefits are reduced and they are expected to cover ever larger copayments and deductibles. Or the retiree who just turned 65 and is having a difficult time finding a provider who will accept them as a new Medicare patient.
As a homeowner it can be a struggle to understand whether or not property tax increases or taxes on groceries are the more equitable way to pay for educating our children and paving our roads.
And gas prices, well that goes without saying.
I think even our wealthier neighbors are starting to take notice of
the price of a gallon of gas.

their very best to represent the greater good of their District and
